Flying up the Yukon River

May 19th, 2008 Posted in General

Today I flew up the Yukon River a bit. Not quite summer, but a very nice day. Later in the day Johannah and I walked around Long Lake trail.  Sadie and Luna had fun chasing squirrels and fetching sticks. long-lake-trail.jpg

yukon-arc_0.jpg Here’s an aerial shot of the Yukon Adult Resource Centre.  It’s the halfway house The Salvation Army runs in Whitehorse and the location of my office.  Mmmm…. from the air it does look a bit bleak doesn’t it?  But when you’re down there, it doesn’t really seem as if I work in a gravel pit.  yukon-river.jpg

airstrip-by-yukon.jpg Some people have their own private airstrips along the Yukon River. If you zoom in, you will see some guy’s Cessna down there.

Today’s audio is the Sunday morning message for April 18, 2008.  Pardon the interuption when Will walked in and asked me if I really believe that s***.  That was Ok.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first

comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep

    visiting this blog very often.

Robert- Thanks for the comment. (sort of) I deleted the URL that would have taken readers to a very off-topic website.
